Early leaders include Neil Gomes at Thomas Jefferson Health, Kamal Jethwani at Partners Healthcare and Rasu Shrestha at Atrium Health. The Think Tank provides a new venue for communication and collaboration, giving leaders the opportunity to share and learn.\u201cAs a member of the Health Innovation Think Tank, I value the opportunity to discuss the complex concepts and problems facing healthcare leaders today,\u201d says Leigh T. Williams, director of enterprise systems at University of Virginia Health System. \u201cI always glean new ways of thinking and innovative solutions though their professional insights and perspectives.\u201dThe group is for those ready to do the grunt work, Barnes says. \u201cHealth systems, policymakers, providers, payers and vendors meeting in separate silos to discuss best practices and share knowledge rarely benefit from broader, cross-industry expert discussions,\u201d he contends. \u201cOur Think Tank solves that challenge.\u201dThe group is planning an invitation-only program this fall, as well as an event during HIMSS20 in Orlando.
